Welcome to EURO 1:12 2008

We are proud, that we could invite the best 1:12 drivers of europe after the European Championship in 2001 a second time to this big event now in 2008 to our club SLR Ingolstadt 06. The EURO 2001 was the first “Open” Euro, because the number of participants was very much decreasing and we have had only 48 drivers. The victory in 2001 was by David Spashett in front of Sakke Ahoniemi and Mikael Fransson. Now since about 3 years the 1:12 class is going up again and the EFRA has changed the modus back to a fullsize EURO like in earlier times.

Now the SPEED LEAGUE RACING Club Ingolstadt 06 e.V. welcomes you, the 1:12 drivers from 14 european countries and all RC-Car drivers, who want to follow this competition, and all the officials to the European Championship 2008 here in Manching-Ingolstadt / Germany. Manching is a small town between Munich and Nürnberg and was in earlier times the most important celtic town in the south of germany. Ingolstadt is already known to you as the big AUDI-town.

Some words to the opening of the hall. We have no possibilities for permanent tracks here in Ingolstadt and so we build our tracks in big sporthalls. Therefore on thursday evening it is not possible to establish your screwing places, because the last training group handball leaves the hall at about 21 o´clock and so we have to work hard, to build the track, the screwing places, the rostrum und timekeeping on this thursday-evening.

But it is possible to come to the hall on thursday, but please not before 21 o´clock, upside on the gallery, you can say “hello” and you can leave, if it is necassary for you, your equipment in the hall. And a special service for you, we pick a plan of all screwing places on a table and you can write your name on this plan. Later in the evening we write your names on the desks in the screwing area.

And important: The hall opens for you the drivers on Friday morning at 8 o´clock.

The invitation to AUDI at Saturday evening you can read in the rules of the race director.

Now the SLR Ingolstadt wish you a good trip to Manching / Ingolstadt and a very good and lucky event with very much success for each driver.
